Participating in this program was meaningful because of being able to
hear peoples’ personal stories. You can see data listed on a page, but it
doesn’t hit home unless you hear an individual talk about their experience.
I’m referring to racial bias, breastfeeding bias, how uninformed people are,
how confused people are about breastfeeding. Trauma from slavery. It’s so
heavy duty. Thank you for creating this space to help people realize how
serious this issue is.
